All ride service drivers

Congratulations on making that decision to join the KTNEX Ride services network.

Here we list the important documents you need to upload depending on your country and state you live.

To get started download the KTNEX Driver app from your app store.

Create your account by adding all your credentials. You will receive an SMS confirmation code on your phone. Enter the code to complete the signup process.

Next, you will need to upload your documents via the KTNEX app.  Alternatively, you can email them to us we will gladly upload them onto your portal for you.

Once all documents are uploaded we verify them and activate your account within 72 hours and you are ready to start making money.

KTNEX commission: 

All drivers take home 93% of their earnings! Our commission is only 7%!

Cars we accept for ride service. You have 2 choices available:

KTNEX EC

cars 1300cc to 2000cc

Hatchback

Sedan

Max 4 seats including driver

Elegant

Cars 2000cc plus

This option is for luxurious cars which can accommodate 5 to 8 passengers.

General car requirements

Your car should be less than 14 years old

We do not accept cars that have had body alterations or repairs.

Requirements per country

Kenya

Documents required for ride and courier services:

1. A full driver’s license. This applies to ride service providers and couriers using cars, minivans, motorbikes, and motorcycles.

2. Kenyan National ID card (applies to all including couriers)

3. Driver PSV (Public Service Vehicle) Licence badge from NTSA (ride service drivers and boda bodas, not couriers)

5. PSV vehicle insurance in the driver’s name or a Full comprehensive insurance cover(all ride service drivers, not couriers)
6. Facial photo (passport size) or take a selfie via the app (all service providers)

7. Front photo of vehicle/motorbike(boda boda)/motorcycle showing the number plate.

8. Foot or push bike/bicycle delivery couriers (we need the Kenyan ID or passport copy only).

9. All service providers must be aged 18 years old or over.

10. To get started you download the KTNEX driver app

11. Create your account by entering your details (Full name, email, the phone you will use for your courier business and upload a selfie of your face)

12. Make sure you pick the right transport option (Foot delivery or pushbike(bicycle) delivery. This part is very important.

13. You will be asked to upload clear and readable documents. These documents before your account is activated.

** We strongly recommend all drivers and couriers register with NHIF (The National Hospital Insurance Fund). The NHIF fees have been reduced recently to affordable levels which is great news. In the event of a medical emergency, If you have NHIF, the emergency response team will take you to private health centers for treatment. Without NHIF you will be taken to public hospitals.

Zimbabwe

Documents required for ride and courier services:

1. A full driver’s license (includes cars, minivans, motorbikes, and motorcycle couriers)

2. Vehicle report from VID (not required for couriers)

3. Vehicle Passenger Insurance (not required for couriers)

4. Police report (not required for couriers)

5. Upload your Facial photo (passport size) or take a selfie via the app. Applies to all service providers.

6. Front photo of your motorbike, motorcycle, or vehicle. The photo should show the number plate.

6. Foot or push bike delivery couriers – we only need a form of identification such as a passport, driver’s license, or national ID card (chitupa).

7. All service providers must be 18 years old or over.

8. To get started down the KTNEX driver app

9. Create your account by entering your details (Full name, email address, the phone number that you will use for your business, and upload a selfie of your face)

10. Make sure you pick the right transport you intend to use (Foot delivery or Pushbike/bicycle delivery). This part is extremely important.

11. Next upload clear and readable documents in order to avoid delays in activating your account.

 

Courier service options

Anyone can be a courier with KTNEX !

Acceptable courier options:

1. KTNEX EC (fuel economic) Cars (1300cc to 2000cc)

Hatchback

Sedan

2. Motorbikes and Motorcycles

3. Using Pushbikes. 

4. Foot delivery. If you have none of the above, no worries, you can do the foot delivery.

The foot delivery distance is limited to 2 km only.

5. Minivans (for business logistics)

It is important that you chose one of the above options on signing up.

You can change the delivery service you want on your dashboard at any time.

We provide:
1. The KTNEX branded carrier bag

2. The reflective safety vest

3. The Motorbike, Motorcycle, and Pushbike couriers are expected to buy a helmet.

4. All couriers are expected to be decently dressed (no jeans, no exposed vests/singlets)
